Hi, I'm Hope. I'm passionate about telling human stories and amplifying voices through creative mediums such as live events, workshops, podcasts and written communications. Driven by a desire to inspire positive change and share narratives, I contribute to the success of purpose-led projects that aim to make a difference in people's lives. I've worked in the non-profit sector for the last five years, focusing on events, arts and culture, as well as international development. This area of impactful work contributes to my passion for creating meaningful experiences that foster personal expression, learning, and community engagement & empowerment on a global scale.

Plymouth Culture | Project Officer

April 2025 - Present (Contract)

Working across all areas of the organisation’s core activity, supporting the creative events and workshops, sector communications and attending partner meetings.

Supporting with administrative duties associated with creative events and workshops including setting up booking systems, liaising with venues, contracting facilitators and speakers, preparing and uploading event communications.

Additionally, supporting the Sea for Yourself funded project, ensuring financial and activity monitoring is captured, maintained and submitted.

Responsible for all aspects of organisation and project administration, supporting improved efficiency across internal teams and collaboration with external partners.

  • Responsible for the collation and submission of financial returns to funders, ensuring we meet all contractual commitments.
  • Establish and maintain internal systems and processes to support activity delivery.
  • Supporting colleagues with administrative duties associated with internal and external meetings including preparing and circulating agendas, sharing diary invites, taking and circulating meeting minutes, monitoring meeting actions.
  • Liaising with colleagues to capture and present activity data through various methods including event/workshop attendance forms, booking forms, feedback forms and focus group feedback
  • Liaising with the accountancy team to upload invoices to the payment system.
  • Maintain budget templates to monitor activity and project spend.
  • Collate quarterly monitoring reports for funders, including financial and activity data.
  • Acting as the custodian for company policies and procedures, ensuring they are reviewed in a timely manner and stored appropriately.

Wiltshire Creative | Programme Assistant

June 2024 - April 2025

Working within the Producing team and assisting with administration and planning for the Visiting Programme at Salisbury Playhouse, Salisbury Arts Centre and Salisbury International Arts Festival.

  • Supporting the Senior Producer and Festival Producer with the delivery of Salisbury International Arts Festival 2024 Visiting Programme and any community elements.
  • Point of contact for Visiting Companies, making arrangements and co-ordination with colleagues.
  • Assisting with the creation and distribution of deal memos, contracts, contra invoices and settlements for freelancers and actors.
  • Arrange and plan first night drinks for the Visiting Programme at Salisbury Playhouse.
  • Liaise with the Production and Technical team and support the Communications and Sales team on delivery planning, scheduling and delivery for visiting work.
  • Assist regular planning meetings.

Wiltshire Creative | Community Engagement Co-ordinator

 Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration and practical logistics of the community participants for the 2024 Salisbury International Arts Festival. Working with the Producing department as well as the community participants, volunteers and the Take Part team.
  • The first point of contact for community participants (including Volunteer Chaperones).
  • Manage all communication with community participants via regular email and telephone contact.
  • Support the Producer with managing any liaison required between community participants and the creative team outside of rehearsals.
  • Ensure that all schedules for participants are up to date and regularly shared.
  • Support the Producer and Take Part team to ensure rehearsals are adequately staffed, particularly in relation to young people and safeguarding.
  • Attend, and support the Producer in managing, all rehearsals including managing and keeping a register of rehearsals.
  • Support the event in relation to community participation management and stage/event management.

Future Leap | Events & Marketing Coordinator

Jan 2023 - Aug 2023 (Contract)

 Responsibilities

  • Providing event management and logistical support for the organisation's Festival of Sustainable Business (the South West's largest sustainable business event) consisting of a conference, exhibition, and awards ceremony.
  • Working with the Marketing team to support all social/digital marketing, messaging & communications for the festival.
  • Supporting the Event Manager with the launch of Bristol City Leap and subsequent community roadshow events - an innovating partnership to accelerate green energy investment and help towards decarbonising the whole city.
  • Creating and designing documents, leaflets and flyers using Adobe InDesign and Canva for event promotion.
  • Duty managing regular networking events in the Future Leap co-working hub.

 Achievements

  • Helped Future Leap to organise their biggest and most successful festival to date, attracting over 1,000 people.
  • Independently organised the Bristol City Leap community roadshow event, bringing it to multiple venues across the city.

Frank Water | Digital Marketing & Communications

Nov 2020 - Dec 2022

 Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Frank Water fundraising, social/digital marketing, messaging & communications.
  • Managing and maintaining all Frank Water social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) - planning and composing weekly content in advance, alongside sourcing appropriate imagery.
  • Creating and scheduling monthly social media packs (issued directly via CRM) to partners of the Charity and Social Enterprise divisions in addition to company ambassadors and trustees.
  • Acting as a central and key supporting role to every team within the Frank Water organisation.
  • Launched (and supported) the Regular Giving Community project with new branding, with an aim to increase the Frank Water individual donor count.
  • Working at festivals throughout the 2021/22 festival season, supporting Frank Water with their Refill Kiosk as well as collating content to share directly on to Frank Water's social media channels. This included the creation of several Instagram Reels which accumulated to 3,000 views. I thoroughly enjoy this aspect of my role and meeting customers.
  • Supported the build, deployment and content creation for a new website.

 Achievements

  • Helped Frank Water to achieve their biggest ever fundraising goal in December 2021 by planning and executing clear social media communications as well as bringing Frank Water Patron Anita Rani on board.
  • Achieved significant and measurable improvement in charitable contributions which were directly acknowledged as being attributed to my communication efforts.
  • Completed the BCS Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing.

  • Looking after all local and regional marketing of the festival to publicise content/ticket sales and increase audience engagement.
  • Content creation support inc. the website, press releases, newsletters and proofing.
  • Management of email, phone answering, ticketing queries resolution and sales reporting from the ticketing system.
  • Running of the Festival's Breakthrough Music Awards including live final.
